Why parents volunteer | Print |

I volunteer because……..

"I can!"

"I want to make a difference in my children's lives and in the community".

"I care about the quality of education that our children receive."

"I believe that parents know their children best and they have much to contribute."

"I care about children."

"The home and school association/council is a wonderful organization"

"I love my kids and am very interested in what they are doing in school".

"I want to have a voice and to be heard".

"If I can make any kind of a difference and make things better in any way, then all of the hours of volunteering are worth it!"

"I feel that the work I do is important and valuable"

"Because of the great people I meet."

"It gives me a sense of achievement".

"I want to help out in my school".

"It's another way to get an education."

"Because volunteers are great people with interesting lives and stories."

"I can set the hours!"

"I acquire a sense of fulfillment".

"I am willing to follow through with action after I make recommendations."

"I feel it is important to help."

"Because parents need an avenue for input and feedback in the school system."

"So I will know what is going on."

"I like the challenge."

"I have the time to give."

"It's fun!"

"It improves the school life of my child."

"It gives me a chance to exercise my brain!"

"I enjoy the excitement of the challenge, the new people I meet, and the opportunities that I encounter."

"There is never a dull moment!"

"I can see how someone's effort makes a difference in the life of a child or an adult."

"To learn new skills and meet new people."

"To learn more about the education system by serving on the different committees"

"To try to make the parents voice heard."

"I do not assume that when I send my children out the door in the morning that they will get an education, I volunteer in their school to ensure that they get one!"

Maple Grove School Apparel Fundraiser | Print |

Maple Grove School Apparel Fundraiser

Here’s a chance to build school spirit by ordering Maple Grove logo clothing!  PAC is encouraging all parents to purchase a minimum of a t-shirt for the children to be worn to school, at functions, field trips, etc.

Proceeds from each sale will go to the PAC to fund school activities and much more.

What Maple Grove clothing is available?  Full zip up hoodies, long sleeve and short sleeve t-shirts and athletic moisture wicking (dri-fit) tees for adults and kids in either white, red, or black.  Each printed with our new school logo (Maple Grove Wildcat) on the top left chest area.  A great piece of artwork to be worn with pride by all students, parents, and family members.  Let’s show our school spirit!

A display table will be set up outside the office for viewing every day after school from 2:50 – 3:20 between January 31st - February 10th.  Please stop by and take a look.  There will be youth sizes along with adult sizes and something for everyone!  Come out and take a look.

Order forms are attached and must be dropped off to the school office by February 18th.  Please make cheques payable to Maple Grove PAC.  Cash payments also accepted, exact amount required.  Sorry, no refund after order is placed.  If you have any questions, please contact Alice Cheung at 604-808-4699.
