Dear Parents/Guardians,

Maple Grove families have a wonderful history of supporting the school by volunteering and engaging in our school community, and the school benefits greatly from this involvement. As we continue to work closely with the faculty, PAC has identified several needs that are consistent with our vision to improve the overall education and the learning opportunities for our children. In order to implement these enriched experiences, PAC will be coordinating a direct donation campaign for the 2010/2011 school year. Most Vancouver schools already have successful direct donation programs, and parents have told us they appreciate not having to constantly fundraise or buy unwanted items. However, student led charitable activities will still continue.

Why Direct Donation?

• 100% of the money goes to the resources we need – there are no fundraising expenses.
• Families will be free to choose how and when they wish to volunteer and participate in the school,
without the constant need to fundraise.
• Confidential Tax receipts are available for donations over $25.00
Your donation may be unrestricted, or directed to an area with which you feel a personal connection. All gifts,
financial or through volunteerism, are very important to Maple Grove and needed to help achieve educational
excellence.

We’re confident that if we all pitch in together these goals can be reached. After all it’s about investing in our children’s future. In spirit of this, please complete the attached form and drop off at the Maple Grove Administration office by December 15, 2010.
